5) Purple flower throw pillow - Not really an abandoned project, its just that its taking soooo long. I do a few rows every now and again but its very fiddly and isnt as relaxing as some of my other projects. This is my first attempt at Intarsia knitting which involves making a pattern using multiple coloured yarns. Every coloured section has its own length of wool and to prevent making holes and keep all the sections together you have to twist the yarns when you change colour sections. For this design there are a lot of lengths to work with and its difficult enough to keep them all untangled.
On the plus side, I think once its finished it will look very good. All the other sections are made. Just waiting on this final, difficult section.

3) My first glove attempt - I was pretty proud of this one as it was my first real attempt at following a pattern. This was very experimental but I really enjoyed making it. I even ended up staying awake all night because I was so keen to finish it and see my first wearable product. I didnt quite finish the sewing up. I think the lumpyness of the finished product was a little disheartening. Either that or I finally succumbed to sleep and forgot to finish it. As winter is approaching (yay) I may have another bash at glove making soon.
I think gloves turn out much better with double pointed needles, which I now have!

2) Green Crochet lace wrap. This was mostly an experiment with a new technique. You may not like this unless you like green as much as I do. Unfortunately at the time it was the only suitable yarn I could get as it has to be very fine in order to appreciate the delicacy of the pattern.
Really quite tedious to make which is probably why I lost interest as quickly as I did. I may try to make one star shape at a time in amongst other projects.

I have recently organised my craft box and was rather shocked at how many unfinished projects I have laying around. I always thought I was a pretty patient, see things through to the end, kind of person. The evidence speaks otherwise. So, I am going to try and finish all of these within the next few months and try my very hardest not to start anything new until that is accomplished. (fingers crossed behind back)

Today I was browsing online and found this site. I particularly love the hand made brooches with birds and deer painted on. Inspiration?

Knitting!
Hello there!
Here is the beginning of the scarf I was telling you about. Im experimenting with new patterns as well as colours and different yarns. This one is called feather stitch. The wool is so soft and fluffy. :) Its also slightly silky as you can probably tell from the reflective quality it seems to have in the light of the flash. I think it would look really good with some sequins knitted into the pattern. I may consider this for a future project. :)
How are you doing? Have you ordered any materials yet? I think if you get some cheap plastic tools that will do for now and then I can buy you some fancy ones later. Perhaps for your birthday if you decide you enjoy it. :)
